Pillow Block Bearings

Pillow block bearing units provide stability and self-alignment for many different applications. Adjustment of a misaligned shaft can occur in any direction and allows centering and alignment without distorting seals. Pillow block bearing units include a hollow set screw for easy and firm attachment on a shaft and a one-piece housing for structural strength. Grease nipples and holes supply lubricating grease to the bearing and maintain the flow of grease to balls and raceways. Rubber seals located between the inner and outer rings prevent lubricants from leaking and protect against contaminants.Pillow blocks, the most commonly used type of mounted units, are designed to provide shaft support where the mounting surface is parallel to the shaft axis. The bolt holes are usually slotted for adjustment during mounting. Pillow blocks are supplied in a variety of configurations.
